Recently, just visited a famous cave in Malaysia with a bunch of friends. It was Gua Tempurung. Sook Kuan recommended Gopeng for some adventurous and fun activities, but we decided to visit Gua Tempurung first for similar activities, however, less challenging as compared to the one in Gopeng.
For Gua Tempurung, there are four different packages for us to choose. We have chosen the fourth package, which includes all the activities from package one to package three. Tour 4 is known as a Grand Tour. It took us around four hours to complete the journey.
First of all, we have climb many flights of stairs from the entrance to the Golden Flowstone. Along the journey, we got to see many stalagmites and stalactites formed in the cave. Besides that, the Cave Ranger showed us the bats that were resting in the cave. He also showed us the bat shits. According to the ranger, he said bat shits contained ammonia, which make them kind of smelly. We have also learnt that the universal name for bat shit is called Guano. There are also many different things to see and knowledge to gain along the journey. We have seen many artifacts left by the miners decades ago. There were also drawings left on the wall of the cave. The Cave Ranger did a very good job in explaining the histories of the caves to us.
After the Golden Flowstone, we then reached the 'Top of the World'. In order to get to the 'Top of the World', we have to climb the stones and walk in the water. Honestly, it was quite tough, especially when you wore the wrong shoes and not very well trained. There are parts where the stones are quite slippery. And because there were no ropes to hold on, we had to be extremely careful so not to fall. Besides that, it is important to have friends that can work together. Team spirit is the most important element as it could be very dangerous climbing up and sliding down the slippery rocks. Eventually, we reached the 'Top of the World'. Well, there was nothing much there. The 'Top of the World' is just another end of the cave. The air was cool and fresh there as it exited into the forest.
However, we did not exit into the forest. After a short break, we returned to where we came from through another path. This path needed us to duck-walk and slide down the rocks which is about 9 meters above from where we landed. Our journey could have actually finished in 3 hours and 30 minutes. This is because we have waited for another team to finish the slide for about half an hour. Our team took less than half an hour to finish the slide. After the slide, we needed to pass through a small hole, known as 'Lubang Tikus'. Passing through that small hole was not very tough as there were other team members helping us through it at the bottom of the hole. Passing through the 'Lubang Tikus' marked the end of the journey. After passing through it, we followed behind the other team back to the path where we started the rock climbing. Next, we took the same path back to the Golden Flowstone and then back to the entrance.
The whole journey was very exciting and challenging! Climbing the rocks and sliding down from the rocks need team spirits and cooperation from everyone. Therefore, this tour package is recommended for those team building activities. However, it is only suitable for those who are physically strong as the whole journey might be quite dangerous. Small regret from my journey is that we did not have the device to take any photos in the cave. And we failed to get the contact from the person who helped us to take our photos. :(

Note: Make sure you are well prepared before enter. Do bring along torch light (preferable headlight) and water-proof camera. In fact, from my experience, we would not get all wet. Therefore, it is possible to bring along camera or smartphones (with extra care not to drop it).
